Penny, one year later

Wednesday marked one year since we met Penny and took her home with us. We were happy before, but we didn't know how much we were missing until she came into our lives.

As I mentioned in my first post on Penny, we rescued her from a shelter, which had taken her in after she was found starving on the streets. It took about 10 minutes for us to fall in love, and to be unable to think of giving her up.  Since then, she has become an integral part of our household. 

She is excellent at posing for cute pictures...

Cuddling, bringing out Dear Husband's soft side, and making funny faces.

And also keeping the good chair warm while her master is away.

A year later, and I can't imagine not having her around the house. I'm so thankful that we found her, and that we made the right choice at the shelter last Thanksgiving.
